These tiny insects live in bedding, carpet and furniture and prefer to feed on the dead skin cells. Mites are found in four out of five American homes, and they can cause plenty of health problems associated with allergies or asthma, or with some skin reactions.

Some signs that you are infected by mites include sneezing, runny nose, red, itchy or watery eyes, congestion, itchy nose, throat, cough, swollen, red skin below the eyes.

People who have asthma will experience shortness of breath, chest pain, shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping, and increased susceptibility to colds.




Vacuuming and consistently washing the sheets are a good way to keep dust mites out of the house, but some items such as pillows and mattresses are not so easy to clean. Also, if your vacuum cleaner does not have a HEPA filter, most mites will end up where they were previously.

One great way to kill and repel dust mites is spraying with this solution.

All you need is:

2 cups of distilled water

15-30 drops of eucalyptus oil




Instructions:

Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle. Spray all items that cannot be washed.

Hang them to dry in a warm, dry place. (Humidity should be avoided as it will encourage the growth of mold). Repeat the procedure 3 times a week to remove all dust mites.

Eucalyptus oil will remove all dust mites, without any harm to you.
