Why the egg yolk sometimes has a red dot and is the egg safe for eating?

Many people are wrong, believing that the bloody dot in the egg yolk is a sign that the egg is fertilized. However, the experts explained why this happens and is this egg safe for consumption.

Few years ago, there was a news that a woman in China was surprised by spotting a bloody dot in the egg white. She bought 15 eggs from a local store and paid them with a higher price, because apparently, the chickens were eating only insects. She called the media, and they’ve researched the case.

The vendors claimed that it should be like that, because that eggs were special. They visited the manufacturer, who tried to convince them that the chickens had menstruation.

However, the real answer arrived after they asked the experts for advice, who explained that the red spot could appear because of two reasons. First, it could appear because of a parasite bacteria that lives in the chicken’s colon and causes oviduct inflammation, or secondly, because of feeding the chickens with forbidden food. They’ve mentioned that the chickens couldn’t have menstruation, and advised not to eat such eggs.

When it is about the egg yolk, many people are wrong because they believe that the bloody dot in a sign that the egg is fertilized. But, that’s not true. It appears sometimes in the egg, and mostly it is because of the cracked capillaries in the chicken’s ovary.

Many factors are included will it happen, starting from the chicken’s age, ‘till the food it eats, but doesn’t mean that the egg is not safe for consumption. The view is not pleasant, but you don’t have to throw away the egg.
